Forearm to throat of Hasselbeck forces him to pay Brad Biggs
Jim Mora Jr. submitted a long list of questions to the NFL office earlier in the week from Seattle’s come-from-ahead loss at Arizona, and on at least one of them, the powers-that-be agreed with the coach.
APDarnell Dockett
Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett was fined $7,500 for taking a shot to the throat of Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck with his forearm after a sack. Mora said on Monday that if plays like that were not going to be called penalties, that he was going to instruct his players to start using the same tactics. Dockett fired back with an attack of Mora via his Twitter account. Now, he will have to pay up.
Mora might find himself in some hot water with the league if Seahawks players start going to the throat of opponents, especially if they’re cutting off the air for opposing quarterbacks.
No word yet from Dockett via Twitter about the fine, although he has been tweeting away about his need to win the lottery. Maybe that should have been a tip right there, huh?
